Canon EOS 40D, EOS 30D and EOS 400D (Digital Rebel XTi)?
I'm new to photography and I need to buy a good DSLR to start with. I am trying to chose between the above models. What do you think is the best. (Better if you have hands on experience)
Cost is also a factor!
What are the significant differences?
Is it a issue that the EOS 30D don't have the dust reduction mechnism?
Dust reduction is not a big deal. Just don't change your lenses in a dust storm ... the last time I had dust on any of my cameras was four years ago when I had to change lenses at a sand drag event ...

If you already have Canon lenses, then buy the least expensive camera that has the features you need (not the ones you want). As you generate more cash flow, you can the spend more money on more equipment.
