WHY WON'T MY CANON 300D AUTO FOCUS WHEN i SET IT ON SPORTS MODE?. WORKS FINE ON ALL OTHER SETTINGS?
THIS HAPPENS ON ALL LENS I PUT ON. CAMERA IS IN MINT COND. ALL ELSE WORKS FINE
In "sports mode", your camera is set to "AI Auto Focus" or "AI Servo", I can't remember which. Essentially it's telling the camera's auto focus to always be on the move. For instance, if you were focusing on a car driving by, the focus when it's 100 feet away will be different when it's 20 feet away. This will automatically adjust your auto focus as you follow along.
In other modes, the camera is set to "One-shot" auto focus. In other words, when you press the button half way, it will focus and not focus again until you press the button again.
