It will be very close.
BUT, the HF S100 also has audio-in to connect an external mic that the T2i does not have - and manual audio control that the T2i does not have.
Still cameras do great stills. Camcorders do video/audio. The current crops of both have not crossed over to do the other's job well. It is getting closer - but not quite "there" yet.
The biggest advantage the DSLRs have are that they have interchangeable lenses. If the audio is being recorded off-board so the audio capability is not that important, then the various lens selections will provide better flexibility of the moving image only.
That said, they both compress their video a LOT. I'll stay with low compression HDV, DVCPRO HD or HDCAM/XDCAM for video...
