Camcorder tripod?
Hi there,
I recently purchased a tripod for my Canon DC40 camcorder but stupidly I can't seem to figure out how to sit my camcorder on it properly, there are two holes on the back of my camcorder and two metal pieces on the tripod (one looks like a screw)...if I try "screwing" it on it doesn't seem very secure, and pushing it on doesn't seem to work either, can someone help? thanks.
Your first answer is a good one unless your tripod has what's called a quick release plate. If you can't get to the base of the screw on the tripod head, you've likely got a quick release plate, and you need to remove the plate from the tripod as a first step. Then, screw the plate onto your camcorder, and finally, slide the plate back into place on the tripod. Check to be sure it locks securely back on the tripod before letting go, or your camcorder may take a dive.
